How does it work?
Brands pay easyfundraising a commission because when you start your shop from the easyfundraising website or app, they can see that easyfundraising sent you to them. If you make a purchase, a commission is generated, and easyfundraising turns that into a donation.
Most brands pay a % of what you spend with them as a donation, for example if you spend £150 on a hotel via booking.com, they will donate 3% which is £4.50. Some retailers pay a flat amount, for example is you buy car insurance with confused.com via easyfundraising, they will donate a flat £15 regardless of the cost of the policy.
What can I use it on?
You can use easyfundraising as a browser extension on your laptop, desktop, tablet or mobile device. For a tablet or mobile device you will need to download the app (it’s free). For a desktop of laptop you can use the browser extension.
How do I set it up?
You can set up easyfundraising on any device that you make purchases on. For laptops and desktops there is a browser extension (similar to cookies) that checks if the website that you are making purchases on will donate. If so, a quick popup will appear asking whether you would like to to donate on this website (see picture to the left). Just click the donation and easyfundraising will take care of the rest.
For phones you will need to download the easyfundraising app and then on your account click on “donation reminder” and follow the instructions.
