Dates
Contagious GO Central runs from Saturday 25th July to Friday 1st August.
Arrivals and Departures
Pioneer Centre, Cleobury Mortimer, Kidderminster DY14 8JG
If you are driving to us, then there is plenty of car parking spaces in the visitor car park. You’ll need to enter the main centre entrace for registration where the TEAM and CREW will direct you where to go. There’ll be tea and coffee if you’d like a drink before heading home.
- Please aim to arrive between 3-4pm. Can we please stress that it is important NOT to arrive earlier than this as rooms will not be available and leaders will not be able to supervise young people before this time.
- If you’re likely to arrive after 4:00pm please contact admin@contagious.org.uk .
- On the last day, we ask for you to pick up your young person after 11am and by 11:30am. The young people will be provided with a picnic lunch to eat together before leaving. If your young person is on the coach, they will aim to leave at around 11am.
After registration, we will introduce them to other young people playing games outside. A little later in the afternoon, once they have had chance to learn a few names and meet the leaders we will show them to their rooms. They will quickly meet other young people who are feeling the same (excited and/or nervous) and will make some good lasting friendships. If parents have any questions, we are ready to chat with you too.
accommodation
The young people’s rooms have between 2 and 6 beds each with either an en-suite bathroom or one nearby. We try to accommodate small groups together in two or three rooms with their leader in a room nearby. Where sharing requests were made, we will do our best to room young people together or near to one another. Although we hope you will understand that we are not always able to meet such requests. All bedding is provided but please bring a towel.
What to bring
- Clothing appropriate for a range of weather and activities
- Shoes including those suitable for running/activities (young people must always have shoes on)
- A towel (bedding is provided)
- Swimwear/clothing and footwear suitable for water games
- Old clothing and white t-shirt for colour wars
- Fancy dress for our Ceilidh on the final night – the theme this year is Ancient Egypt.
- A water bottle with your name on
- Bible (We will be teaching from the New International Version) – please bring a physical copy
- Pens (young people will be provided with their own teaching booklets for writing notes in)
- Toiletries, sun cream, hat and sunglasses
- Small light up alarm clock or watch (young people will not have their phones overnight)
- Money for the tuck shop and bookstall (At GO we are accepting cash & card payments).
- All medication will be collected – even if it will be self-administered (except creams and asthma inhalers). So please only pack medication they need (over the counter items such as paracetamol will be available from the Medical Supervisor if necessary)
PLEASE DO NOT include any snacks that contain nuts as we have others attending who have severe nut allergies.
Photographs and social media
We are hoping to take some general photos or videos during the week that may be used for publicity, uploaded on our website or shared on social media sites.
If you have particular concerns about social media, photographs or publicity, please inform us by emailing admin@contagious.org.uk.
Mobile Phone policy
If you decide to send your child to Contagious GO with their mobile phone or other devices, these will be collected in at registration on the first day. We will keep the phones safe and give them out for an hour after lunch each day for young people to contact parents/carers and friends. Our mobile phone policy can be found here.
MEDICAL, Pastoral and Dietary Information
If you wish to update anything less than six weeks before the conference please email admin@contagious.org.uk. This is because we often pull the relevant information for each Conference from the booking website around six weeks before the conference, and by emailing us we can make sure that the necessary people are notified.

FAQs
What does a typical day look like?
The day starts with wake up followed by a filling breakfast. We then go into our morning meeting together. This meeting includes singing, activities and challenges, and teaching from one of the leaders. After the morning meeting there will be a short break followed by some time in SUS (small) groups going through part of the Bible together. After SUS we will have our lunch and then go into afternoon activities. The activities are a mix of all-together activities (such as water games, wide games and inflatables) and option activities (sports, craft, alternative). After dinner, there is another meeting similar to the morning meeting, followed by an evening activity (these have included junk heap challenges, wide games, quizzes and film nights) before bed.

How can I be praying for Contagious?
We would love it if you could be praying for us throughout the week! It is only through God’s word applied to the hearts of the young people through the Holy Spirit’s work that lives are changed. Please be praying for faithful teaching and for hearts opened to the good news of the gospel. For particular points for prayer check out our dedicated page.
What is being taught at Contagious this year?
This summer we’ll be seeking the Way of Wisdom in the book of Proverbs, and see how this points us to the fact that it is only through union with Christ that true wisdom can be found.
Proverbs invites us to listen to the words of wisdom from a father to his son, written to encourage youth to grow in wisdom. This summer we want to see lives shaped and changed as we listen to God’s wisdom for all of life. Proverbs is both poetic and practical. It is not just a series of moral sayings but is a story that is filled with rich truths and points us forward to Christ.
