2000
Contagious was set up in 2000 by Ian Fry, Trevor Pearce and Pete Woodcock.
Starting small, Contagious met at Quinta, North Shropshire, as a group of 14-19 year-olds enjoyed a fun-packed week studying God’s Word.
2010
Contagious Nano for 11 -13 year olds (now called GO) and Contagious West is established.
2012
Jon Shulver was appointed Contagious Development Director and Contagious Scotland/North (ScoNo) was held for the first time.
2014
Nano West is launched. Over 700 people attended our conferences in 2014.
2016
Nick Jackman took over as Contagious Director. Nano ScoNo became our third Conference for 11-13s.
2017
Contagious Central is launched as the “Pilot” (GO Central is added in 2019). To celebrate 500 years since the Protestant Reformation, we studied the Reformation across all our Conferences.
2022
Following two years of no Contagious due to Coronavirus, Contagious ADVENTURE is launched for 8-11s. Over 1000 people attended our conferences in 2022.
2023
Contagious ADVENTURE, GO and MAX South West are launched in Tiverton. We had over 1200 young people, leaders and CREW across 11 Conferences and 7 venues.
TODAY
We currently run 12 conferences at 7 different venues. We have around 900 young people attend each year from nearly 300 different churches.
Today
We have 12 different Contagious Conferences across 7 venues. This summer we will be studying Proverbs across all our conferences. Please be praying for us this summer as we seek the Way of Wisdom and will see that it is through union with Christ that true wisdom can be found.
