Matthew Dalton
I grew up in Sussex, on the Ashdown Forest (home to Winnie the Pooh). I never went to church as a child. In my late 20’s having started my first job in London I encountered Bible believing Christians for the first time. Over a period of four or five years I came to understand and accept Christ as Lord nad Saviour. My world was turned upside down. I was a sinner, saved by grace! Wonderfully within the first few months of being a Christian a leader from my church suggested serving on a summer camp would be a good idea. And, praise God it was! Having worked in retail as a Director of Technology I moved jobs to become the Chief Operating Officer of the Co-Mission network in London – a church planting network – and have recently joined the board of Contagious.
Gareth Mitchell
Gareth serves as one of the pastors at Christ Church Dunstable, an FIEC church in Bedfordshire. He has been involved in the work of Contagious for around 20 years, serving as a trustee and part of the TEAM at Max East. He loves it and counts serving the Lord in this way a great privilege. He also enjoys time with his family, walking, visiting good coffee shops, and watching his beloved Luton Town FC. Gareth is married to Esther, and they have one son, Isaac.
Jon Drane
Jon has been serving on Contagious since it began in 2000. He served for a number of years at Contagious East before planting Contagious West in 2010. Jon has served as coordinator before latterly serving as a CREW leader with his wife Jan until COVID.
Jon served as pastor of Woodford Evangelical Church in Essex before moving to be nearer family following his retirement.
Ian Sneller
Ian has been a part of Contagious as a Trustee for over 10 tears and currently is the Chair.
Ian is also an elder and treasurer at Grace Church Leatherhead and has been a part of the church since it started as Fetcham Community Church in 1993
He is a Chartered Surveyor and lives with his wife Hilary and their Ukrainian family, in Leatherhead.
Ian and Hilary have 5 children.
Lizzie Wallace
Lizzie joined our board of trustees in 2025 after serving on Contagious MAX East. Lizzie and her husband live in Colchester where he serves as vicar of St Peter’s, Colchester and she serves as the church administrator.
